Hello and welcome to the Adventure Training section of the Merseyside Wing
ATC website. My name is Squadron Leader Stephen J France and I am the Wing
Adventure Training Technical Officer or WATTO for short. I am responsible to
the Wing Commander for overseeing the delivery of adventure training. I have an excellent team of instructors from across the Wing that help me deliver many of the courses that are run throughout the year; including the Basic Expedition Leaders Award, Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, National Navigation Award Scheme, indoor climbing sessions, kayak and canoe taster days and the Wing adventure training newsletter. |

As these pages develop, I will include the AT newsletter, ‘for sale’ items
and a ‘hints ‘n’ tips’ section. I will also incorporate websites that will
hopefully be of some use to you. And will also endeavour too keep you posted
of any developments in the world of AT. If anyone has any feedback or comments
regarding the site or any other aspect of AT, then please do not hesitate to
